Remarks

Welcome to Garrison Hills, one of my favorite Asheville area communities!

I have watched this neighborhood grow from the planning stages and the first cutting-in of roads to the stunning development that many lucky people now call home. Almost every home site offers a mountain view. Every home built is a work of art. Ideally located, you are just minutes from the boutique shops and restaurants found in the small town of Weaverville and only a quick 15-minute drive to Asheville. Location, views, nature at your back door, Garrison Hills has it all.

Lot 3 is an easy homesite to build on. It gives you elevation with mountain views and a level area for a lawn. Many home designs will work on this home site.  Single-story homes will have a minimum of 2,200 sq/ft of living space, a minimum of a two-car garage, and a minimum 7/12 pitch roof. See the PDF links on this page for the complete list of architectural standards that are in place to ensure that Garrison Hills continues to live up to the quality of living already found here.  Currently, the neighboring homes in this community sell from $780,000 to well over a million—you are wise to invest in this community!

Many more lots are available. Give me a call or send me an email, and I will be happy to share the full scope of possibilities with you. Lot 3 is my favorite, and it may be yours as well!

About Susan

My husband and I have made our home in the peaceful mountains of Western North Carolina since 1992 where we worked together in the running of our home remodeling business. Together we have built 4 homes and renovated another as well as renovated countless homes for clients. I have always taken an active part in the design and building of these homes. From hanging ridge rafters to laying hardwood floors, I have gained a great deal of respect and understanding of what goes into a well-built home. This love of homes and home construction is what led me to become a Real Estate Broker in 2003 and later a General Contractor. I am also active in canine sports, competing with my golden retrievers and organizing obedience trials as well as serving time on the board (past treasurer) of the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Club.  In addition, I am a stained glass artist and I take much pride and satisfaction in designing and creating glass art that I often donated to benefit rescues and canine health research.

Since starting my Real Estate Career long ago, I have won many sales awards and more importantly to me, several Quality Service Awards. For several years I was Broker in Charge of a small office, managing 9 other agents. Feeling the need to get back to what I love about real estate, I stepped down as the managing broker in 2017 so I could concentrate on
my clients and their needs as a Broker Associate. I am now working with Sterling Real Estate Partners because of their creativity, marketing technology, customer service and their stellar reputation in the Asheville and surrounding markets.

I specialize in Residential Homes, Small Farms and Land Tracks with a special passion for Vintage Homes. When marketing a Vintage home, or helping a buyer with a purchase of one, you can expect a full essay on the "genealogy" of your home. One of my many obsessions is tracking the history of Asheville's older homes. My years working as a carpenters assistant as well as my beginnings in the marketing field will be used to your benefit when you are selling or buying a home. Of course for dog owners, my 20+ years of training and competing with my own dogs has given me an understanding that often a fenced yard for Puppy is not enough. Sometimes we need a bit more. For both sellers and buyers I recognize the unique needs that many of us
have for ourselves and with our homes.
